How did you choose your business name and what does Koukla mean?
It only made sense when we were thinking of names to incorporate our Greek culture and our faith. Gift giving is very important to Greeks. It doesn’t have to be a special occasion. Feeding people and giving gifts is how we show love and hospitality. Giving gifts is also an important act in the Bible, representing love, generosity, and the desire to bless others. Whether it’s an offering to God, a gift given to others, or the spiritual gifts believers are given, the Bible teaches us about the significance of giving. It encourages us to give with a cheerful heart and highlights that the act of giving is not only about the gift itself but about the intention behind it.
Our Yaya (Greek Grandmother) always affectionately referred to each of us as "koukla" when she first saw us.
